WH Canon is the Site Sustainability and Design consultant for the Fairlane Green commercial center.  Ford Land is developing a shopping center on the existing Allen Park industrial landfill and brownfield site.  The new 240 acre shopping center will feature hedgerows, stormwater swales, wetlands and greenscreens.  We were able to work with the development team to design a site plan that focuses on sustainable systems, features the stormwater swales and incorporates a traditional downtown of shops and restaurants.  A playground and regulation ball fields are unique features of the commercial center.  This project will be submitted for LEED certification.
