Bill Canon
established WH Canon Company in 1993, which quickly grew into southeast

Bill has been involved in the landscape industry for nearly thirty years, and brings a great wealth of knowledge, personal experience and commitment to all of our work. Among his many talents and interests are attention to detail, customer satisfaction and delivery of a quality product. It is this dedication and constant striving for improvement that has earned Bill and

a reputation for quality.
Bill graduated from
Louisiana
State
University
with a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture. He is a member of the Honor Society of Sigma Lambda Alpha. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
University
of
Tennessee
, with additional post-graduate work in Horticulture and Landscape Design.
Throughout his career, Bill has worked with most of the leading construction management, general contracting, and landscape architecture firms in southeastern
Michigan
. Bill belongs to several professional associations including the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA), and the Michigan Green Industry Association (MGIA). He is president of the Grader’s and Landscaper’s Association, and is actively involved with the State of
Michigan Laborer
’s District Council.

ED ASHCRAFT – CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT – CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Ed joined
WH Canon
to oversee construction administration, all daily field activities related to landscape construction, the national “Safe 2 Work” program, our twenty-five acre nursery, plant and materials purchasing and crew and equipment dispatch. Since joining the company, he has led many multi-million dollar installation and renovation projects.
Ed brings over twenty years of field experience to
WH Canon
. He graduated from
Detroit
’s prestigious Center for Creative Studies with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design. He has combined his design expertise and attention to detail to establish quality standards for
WH Canon
installation projects. Ed is particularly skilled at directing installations to achieve the design intent while meeting deadlines and project budgets.

JAMES MARALDO – TREASURER/CONTROLLER
Jim oversees all of the company’s financial, insurance, bonding and human resource activities. The accounting department at
WH Canon
is responsible for weekly payroll and benefits for over 200 employees.
Jim, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the
University
of
Michigan
. Prior to joining
WH Canon
, Jim was employed by a national CPA firm, and several landscape and general contractors. Jim brings over twenty-five years of financial experience to WH Canon, including eighteen as a controller. Jim is a key member of the management team and lends his business expertise to our strategic planning initiatives and capitol acquisitions program.
